How to remove spyware

First of all, machines should be cleaned of the spyware they receive from the internet once every week to once every month, depending how often the machine goes onto the internet.

Secondly, some machines may have so much spyware that removing the spyware could cause the machines to malfunction in some way. If your machine is overrun with spyware this much, it is time to take it to be cleaned out professionally.

Onto the cleaning!
You can download two kinds of software to scanning for spyware, and they are both free to install. Ad-Aware and SpyBot, both of these I have used personally and would recommend either, depending on your computer savy skills and the seriousness of your spyware problem. Below I will explain in small detail the differences each of these offer.

Ad-Aware
Adaware is pretty much a one-click kind of program. Very easy to use. You can download the install file here.

SpyBot
Spybot is a bit more envasive. Spybot allows you to backup any configuration settings before you make any changes in case you need to revert back to before you scanned. Spybot also allows you to block any future occurences of that particular piece of spyware. You can download the install file here.

Mozilla Firefox
Firefox is a very easy way to make sure you get far less spyware in the future. This is a web browser designed to replace Internet Explorer. After installation, I recommend using Firefox instead of Internet Explorer to browse and search the web. You can download the install file here.
